Kandice & David

Bob & Maria

Mike & Michelle Poe

When I was in high school, I always loved roaming the halls and finding any way to get out of class. If there was a class for being social I'd have an A+!! I did anything to get out of class so instead of boring study hall, I chose to work in the Athletic office with Mrs. Dunn. I answered phone calls, confirmed the refs for the games and did some filing. It was always fun because one, you're out of class and two, its Mrs. Dunn who was a blast to hang out with. I still stop by the school to visit her! Early on she called me a networker, I would meet people, remember their name and face and know something about them. It kinda stuck with me because I saw it as a positive thing. I always loved being a part of the 6 degrees to everyone. So there is a reason I ramble on about 6 degrees, I promise. When Mike & Michelle came to us months ago we got to talking about the salon I was still working at and we found out that I worked with her good friend Zeta. Funny thing was Michelle found me on the knot and hadn't even told Zeta she was meeting me. So it was fun to shoot a wedding with some familiar faces at the wedding. Anyways, Mike and Michelle, we had such a great time at your wedding and I had a blast at the after party! You have such a beautiful family and many blessings to you both!

Editing + Corneal Abrasion = Pain!!!!

corneal abrasion:
A corneal abrasion is a painful scrape or scratch of the surface of the clear part of the eye. This clear tissue of the eye is known as the cornea. This transparent window covers the iris, the circular colored portion of the eye. The cornea has many nerve endings just under the surface, so that any disruption of the surface may be painful.

As my husband said to me this afternoon "I close my eye before she does it, you should have remembered to do that because it hurts" Thanks for that advice, I'll try and remember to close my eyes before our Boxer, Gracie, tries and paws at them!

Grand Opening!!!

First off, I have to thank my family for all the hard work they put into this studio. I think they were beginning to see it as their little baby too. At 4:50 on Saturday my dad was putting up last minute pictures onto the wall! My husband is learning a little about handy work but he got his first drill as a wedding present from me. So we relied on my dad to help us out on a lot of stuff. I'll be posting some before and after shots later, but I think some of my brides would shoot me if I did that before finishing their weddings. Anyways, Mom... the food was GREAT and all the little touches you put in the studio were so cute. You knew my mind was fried and you helped me stay on top of it. Grandma, the curtains were perfect and the monogrammed towels were fabulous... gotta have monogramed towels if you're related to my grandma! Randy, thank you for helping dad put the pictures up and putting that darn cover over the couch, you were a great help! Audi & Emily... you guys being there made the place a little more fabulous, but thank you for taking pictures, putting pictures in frames that did not want to stay clean and for helping me SHOP! I have to say being the car with you Audi could give someone a hearattack but when times got stressful you definitely helped calm me down! Cheryl and Abby, thank you so much for coming to Ohio and helping with organizing, cleaning and tying of bags. It meant so much to Coty you guys being there! Now Dad... I would list all the things you did but the list would be far too long. I just have to say I could not have asked the Lord for a more wonderful father! You did so much more than Coty & I could ask for and we can honestly say Henry Photography wouldn't be where we are today without you and Mom. Just by getting our business off the ground is more than something to be thankful for. Coty & I both are so grateful for all the hard work you guys put into it. So thank you, thank you, thank you! To all who came Saturday, we appreciate all your love and support!

Just 8 more days!

Hello all! I truly feel like I'm getting ready for my own wedding again. Is it horrible to say I wish it were true? If you know me at all you know I'd get married every year, of course to Coty! I hope he gets the hint and we go to Hawaii and renew our vows for our 10Th anniversary. Hint! Hint! Anyways, we are about to open our very own studio. This thought had been in the works for quite some time, but we had NO idea God was going to open the doors for this so soon. Funny story, this guy came over to measure one of the rooms in the studio so we could get some carpet laid down and he looked at me and said "you look a little young to be opening up your own studio" I laughed because my hair was up, I had no makeup on and I was in one of Coty's old shirts. The funny thing was the thought hadn't really crossed my mind. I'm 24 years old, I've only been married less than a year an a half and I'm opening my very own studio. If you would have told me this 4 years ago while I was sitting in Psychology class at Grace College listening to Dr. Grill teach... I would have laughed at you but I would not have been surprised! I always knew photography was going to be a part of my life because a camera has always been attached to me some how, but I never knew this is what God had planned for me. Now I know there is more to this plan than my little studio, but I must say, this is pretty exciting.

Now I know I sent out tons of invites to our clients, family and friends but I wanted to share my heart with you all and tell you personally how much this means to Coty and I. We cannot wait to see some of you there, and for those of you who cannot make it, I hope you can stop by some time in the future! We love you all and hope to see you next Saturday!

Natalie & Ryan

After shooting Natalie and Ryan's engagement session, I just remember thinking how great my job is. I love that my job takes me to beautiful gardens, University's, museums, and now farms. When we first booked Natalie and Ryan's wedding and she told me that she was the daughter of a farmer and Ryan had his own farm, I had to shoot their e-session at one of these farms. And the pictures turned out exactly what I thought they would be like. Funniest thing was Ryan's brother hopping on the pig and riding it, I about died laughing. The song "She thinks my tractor's sexy" kept ringing through my head through the shoot. Anyways, I had a great time at the farm! Cannot wait for the big day in December!

Nate & Maria

Nate and Maria, it was a pleasure getting to know you both during those months leading up to your big day. I knew from the start that it would be an honor working with you two and it was. I hope this is the start of a wonderful friendship! God bless you two!

Little Update!

Hello all! I am currently in Indiana, on my great aunt's mac! I can't believe my great aunt has an apple before I do. Anyways, this little trip was planned a while go, and its right smack dab in the middle of my crazy month! Just a little personal info about my family... my Grandma was diagnosed with cancer this past year. She went through horrible pain for many months, and a hard surgery just recently. She planned to make a trip to Indiana when she finally started to feel better and it just happened to be October. Just seeing her, you'd never know she had Myeloma. Anyways, I'm so thankful I am able to take a little time off to see her. When I got to her sister's house (my great aunt) I knew exactly where she'd be... sitting on the dock of their pond fishing with my Grandpa. I was counting my blessings seeing her catch those fish in the pond. Anyways, so if any of you email me or call me in the next day or two... you'll know why my response is delayed. I really am thankful this job allows me to take trips like this when I need to. My grandma & grandpa live in California and with tickets being so high it was not an option to get out there when she was first diagnosed. Thankfully, they'll both be out here in May to see my little sister graduate from high school! Boy do I feel old!

Anyways, enjoy the most recent post. I'll have much more by next week! Love you all!

Dog Photo Shoot!

Tomorrow night Coty & I will be at Pawsitively Purrfect Treatery for a fall dog shoot where all the proceeds go to Canine Collective. In addition to yours truly providing fabulous pictures of your dog, Trotters Coffee Company will be providing coffee & hot chocolate where all proceeds will go to the Collective! Microchipping will also be available for you dog, which I highly recommend doing if you haven't already! Canine Collective is a non-profit volunteer organization that relies on donations and charitable contributions like Pawsitively Purrfect is putting on. So even if you wanna stop by and get your picture taken with your dog, please do so! Any and all donations are greatly appreciated, by the Collective and future rescued dogs!

Now if you don't have a dog, but you're thinking you might need a date night... come and enjoy one of the many events historical downtown Delaware has to offer. First Fridays in Delaware is full of special events, live music and mostly all the stores are open late! Tomorrow there are hayrides, paint your own pumpkin, create your own mask, free balloons, Harvest Market and GREAT shopping! First Fridays are not only kid friendly but all the shops and restaurants are a great place to spend your fall Friday! I always loved those crisp fall nights bundled up in a sweater & jeans checking out the antique shops. Coty on the other hand... he could have done with out the antiques!

Anyways... Everyone keep November 2nd free on your calendars because that is going to be our GRAND OPENING! Can you believe we are opening our very own studio?! I can't! Every time I walk through the door I have to thank God for everything He's given us! We're in a great town, the studio itself is coming together wonderfully and I couldn't be more blessed. I could be less busy though... you guys should see my schedule for October! Anyways I love you all and I hope to maybe see some of you at Dog Photo Shoot! Call me if you need details! 614-719-9904!

Update!!!

Its been forever since I've updated on what we're up to. I just hop on here and put a wedding slideshow on and I don't usually have time to even comment about that wedding! Anyways, we've been so busy with weddings, e-sessions, and fixing up the studio that I feel like when November 9th hits I'm going to schedule myself & Coty a spa day! Well maybe just myself, I'll schedule him a day at the GYM... he'd love that. Those couple weeks in November that we didn't schedule weddings I'm hoping to utilize the time to do album design, a little catch up and hopefully some family portraits. The studio is coming along though. We just have a couple little things to paint, get some furniture, studio equipment and we'll be set! I'm meeting with this guy next week to get some pictures printed to put up on the walls and I'm so excited for that part. Choosing the pictures might be a challege but I can't wait to see the final project. We've put so much hard work into this place I'll be so happy to finally open the place up! I don't think we could have gotten this far without my parents helping us. My dad has been amazing in helping us with all the stuff we know nothing about. I'm more than thankful for them!

On a side note, We were approached by the owner of Pawsitively Purrfect Treatery in Delaware to help them out with a charity event they're throwing next Friday for pets around the community and rescued pets. I don't have all the details but I know they're putting microchips in dogs that don't have them, then they're cleaning them up and doing a little photo shoot right there in the store. I of course am a sucker for rescue dogs, so I was more than willing to do this! I'll defnintely have some fun pictures to show from that!

Anyways, I'd love to chat some more! I best be getting back to work! Love you all! Enjoy this amazing weather we're having!

Jen & Chris

I don't even know where to begin... first off I love this couple! I had more fun shooting this wedding than I did as a guest at some of my friends' weddings! Don't tell my friends I said that!! :) From the bright colors to the Presidential Suite at the Hilton, this wedding was decked out! Jen & Chris were actually the first couple to have their reception at the Columbus Hilton of Polaris. So I was more than thrilled to see the new hotel. I have to say, if Coty & I ever need to get away, I think we might be hitting the Hilton at Polaris because it was amazing. The decor, the service, everything was fabulous. I think Jen & Chris would agree! When I first checked out all the photos, this wedding party was by far the funniest group to be around. It was a pleasure to get to know their friends and families. I try not to get emotional at weddings but from the toasts, father-daughter dance and Chris dancing with his Grandma, there was not a dry eye in the room!
Anyways, Jen & Chris... we love you guys! We hope we can keep in touch in the future! God bless you two!

Bob & Maria

I had such a good time shooting their engagement session at OU. I had never been to this university so I was excited to scope it out because it was the same location Maria & Bob would be getting married. We had the date set for a couple weeks and when it started to get closer we realized it was going to be 100 degrees the day of the shoot! So we pushed the shoot to the morning in hopes that it wouldn't be smoldering hot outside. Needless to say it was still hot but we had a blast. Got a couple tickets for parking and a funny picture to show for it. Apparently at OU there is a parking meter lady that just lives to give tickets out! So long story short, we had a blast hopping around the campus, flicking off parking tickets and checking out the bars where Maria & Bob used to hang out. The streets reeked of beer, from the beer fest the night before. I could tell they were having fun reminiscing of the good days in college! Anyways, Maria... hope you're having fun putting together invites and favors! Just 60 some more days!

WE GOT OUR STUDIO!!!!

Well on Friday, Coty and I met with the Judge of Delaware, Ohio and he handed us the keys to our studio! So we are already in full swing of ripping out stuff and picking out paint swatches, picking out furniture and dreaming big! Our goal is to have it ready by September. My goal is to get caught up in editing this week so I can focus on the upcoming weddings, engagement and senior shoots, and fixing up the new place. My mind is reeling with ideas for the new place. I used to work in a studio so I'm racking my brain to remember what type of equipment we had, what the dressing rooms looked like, and just stuff like that. Its so much more fun when its your own. All the props you can start collecting, like antique chairs... its going to be a blast! Anyways, it was an answer to prayer for sure! I just didn't know if it was the right time to open a new place up, so if it wasn't I wanted God to just shut the door for me to this idea. He obviously did the opposite. Like the Judge said to Coty and I... I'm the ideas he's the financing behind all this. So I come up with my ideas, and he just has to figure in a way for me to do it! Most of our couples know by now that I am not the one figuring up their contracts and packages... I always tell them they don't want me trying to do that.

Anyways, I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I can't believe this weather! I have a sweatshirt on this morning! I won't talk too much about the weather because we all know it'll be like 100 next week knowing OHIO! I'll keep everyone updated on the before & after photos of the new studio!

Studio?!

So I think God loves to work in mysterious ways. The other day Coty had told me to stop looking for a space to rent for a studio. He said it was just not going to work out this year and we'd look next year. So I did... until I saw this spot!

I'm trying not to get my hopes up...but I fell in love when I saw the "for rent" sign. I had been in the place before so I already had an idea of what it looked like. Long story short, we're meeting again with the guy on Monday so maybe by next week we'll have a studio! Anyways, I'm just praying God will close the door if its not the right time, and swing them right open if it is! The hard part is, I can already picture it... what pictures I'll put up, fixing up the place a bit and then meeting with clients! Business is going so well for us that I know this would further our success! Anyways, its definitely in God's hands and then hopefully in our budget!! I leave that part up to Coty.

Anyways, we had a big week this week! Wednesday we had 4 meetings, Thursday was my last day at Penzone's, Friday was Marci & Doug's wedding, Saturday Jen & Chris' wedding, and Coty had a little post-ceremony shoot right in the middle of Jen & Chris' wedding! He got back right before the Father and pronounced them Husband & Wife! Audi had joined us for the ceremony to fill in while Coty was going to be gone for 2 hours, so that worked out so well. By 11 last night I started to feel the exhaustion creeping up on me. But I still had a little energy to make Coty a couple sandwiches for today because he had to be back at work at 5:30 this morning. I already told him I'll be making him a good dinner tonight for being such an amazing trooper this weekend! I've wondered in the last couple days if I could handle a studio with all thats on our plate right now. I'm just thankful kids aren't on the plan or it'd be crazy! Anyways, I'm almost finished with our last wedding and then on to the rest! I couldn't be more happy to be done working at the salon. It'll be great to give our brides & grooms their wedding pictures back by the time they get back on their honeymoon! Hopefully of course! :) Hope everyone has a great week this week!

Love you all!

Josh & Ashton's Married!

So I have to give a little back story about Josh & Ashton. First off, Coty is from Bremen so he knew both Josh & Ashton along with most of the 350 guests! I had met Josh through Coty when we first started dating, and not only that but he is my best friend Juli's cousin. Like most small towns, there is usually one family that populates most of it, that is the Hueni family in Bremen! Now Coty's brother Chris is married to Tori and she was Ashton's maid of honor. Thats how I really got to know Ashton. It was so funny how much we had in common, so right from the beginning we hit it off. We not only loved pictures, we loved big wedding dresses and the color pink! So going into this wedding I knew firsthand what she would want and what mattered most to her and Josh. It always helps when you can relate to your clients going into the weddings! We had told our friends and family when we first started this business that we'd be more than happy to come back to Indiana to do weddings, it gives us a little chance to visit family while we're in town and its always fun to photograph people you know and care about. Coty and I had a blast doing this wedding, not only was it fun but it meant so much to us to be their photographers.

Josh and Ashton, blessings to you both as you go through this journey together. With Christ as the center of your marriage, what amazing journey it will be!

Its been too long!

Sorry its taken me so long to update! We've been swamped with engagement sessions, meetings, working at the salon and the distribution and now here I am! We recently had a wedding in Indiana, and it was a blast! It was in Coty's hometown so he obviously had a blast showing off his new skills! If you hadn't ever gotten on our site and read about us, I said that Coty was on his way to becoming a police officer when I met him. All his old friends from school, teachers too, thought the same! So when they saw him at the wedding with camera in hand, and a shaved head... they were a put surprised! It was exciting to see him in his element, talking to people he grew up with. The biggest compliment we got at that wedding was from the groom, Josh who had just watched our little slide show we had after the ceremony. He told Coty that we exceeded his expectations, and I could have jumped for joy. I knew going into this that Josh probably was a little skeptical about hiring us since he had known Coty since they were kids. So I wanted nothing more than to give Josh & Ashton exactly what they wanted! So I literally couldn't stop smiling after Coty told me what Josh had said. Anywho, I'll be posting some overdue slideshows of engagement sessions today! Hope everyone had a great 4th of July!

Lisa & Dallas

A couple weeks ago I was at the zoo with Coty, his mom Cheryl, his sister Abby and his brother's daughter Kiley. We were having a blast, when I got a phone call from a crying bride saying "my photographer dumped me, he just rejected us". I kid you not, I wanted to go home and look at my planner to see if we had a wedding on that day because I wanted to cry with her! Lisa, whom I work with at Penzones... aka Taylor, is just like me when it came to wedding planning. Every detail was accounted for, thought out with great thought and wants nothing more than a dream wedding. We would toss wedding ideas back and forth since the moment she got engaged! Long story short, I couldn't wait to call her and tell her we were free on her day. She and Dallas immediately booked with his and everything started rolling very quickly! I couldn't be more excited to shoot her wedding, its truly going to be beautiful!

If their engagement session gave me any idea what the wedding was going to be like, I just have to say it'll be a mix of traditional and hilarious. Lisa might kill me for putting a couple funny pictures in the slideshow but I had to do it for Dallas. Any chance he had to break out of his shell he was doing it. Whether he was frolicking through Innis Wood's field or jumping on a fence, he kept us on our toes. We had the best time shooting their e-session! Coty & I both agreed that it would not be the last time we hang out with them, so we'll have to catch a movie sometime soon! Relax from all the planning Lisa! :) Anyways, we love you guys and we're so happy that we could be your new photographers! Enjoy the video!

P.S.

Hey Erin & Jack! I hope you enjoy the slideshow! It took me forever to figure this thing out. Hopefully Jack can see it over in Kuwait! You two were so fun to shoot, I think at one point I felt like the third wheel on a date. Kissing on demand was not a problem for you two! Anyways, cannot wait to see you two again. We will be praying for you guys!!

Update Soon!

Do not worry, I will be updating soon! I had an engagement session this morning and another this evening. After I get off work at the salon I'll be off to do a senior/family shoot then Sunday I'll be doing another engagement shoot with one of my new favorite couples, Nate & Maria. Anywho, I can't write too much because that means I'm not editing, and Coty is begging me to take a break and go for a walk with him & Gracie! He says I need balance haha :) Photographers don't know what balance means!!! But since its our day off together I'll take a 20 minute break and take a little walk before it rains.

Hope everyone's staying cool! I thought about breaking into the pool across the road and going for a dip... but after today I realized I'm not much of a rule/law breaker! I'll explain later!

Love you all!

Marci & Doug

Coty & I met Marci & Doug at Starbucks in German Village, I had unfortunately told her it would be my first time there. I couldn't be more out of it living in Columbus. Anyways, I fell in love with German Village the moment I got off the high way. Don't get me wrong, I'll always be more of a country girl but it was pretty cute down there! So we decided that we'd go into the bookshop for some different kinda pictures. I think it was called a The Book Loft, and Marci hit it right on the nose, I felt like I was in a schizophrenics head. Everytime I turned around I was in another level. Then I started to head out towards a door, and Marci was like "if you're trying to leave thats not the way" I was almost dizzy! It was fun to be in there though, we got some awesome pictures in there. It wasn't your typical stroll through the park, which we did after the bookstore! Anywho, We can't wait for their wedding on August 1st! Their wedding will kick off our seriously busy month!

I hope this made up for not having pictures for 3 years!!!

Julie & Dan

Two posts in one day!

So while everyone is out boating, and enjoying their memorial day break, I was inside finishing up a wedding and starting on my latest engagement session. Marci & Doug, you are next, I promise! Anyways, Julie and I met a while back at the salon that I work at. She is a massage therapist so I'd bump into her in between appointments, and before she got engaged she'd remind me that we'd have to get together and talk weddings when Dan would finally pop the question. Penzones might be a big salon, but when one of us is sporting some new bling, it never goes unnoticed! Julie is the first girl at the salon for me to photograph, so it was so much fun seeing people I work with at the wedding. When I finally met Dan, we found out that we new mutual people. I went to Worthington Christian and we used to be in the Mid Buckeye Conference, and we would play Johnstown all the time, and that happens to be where Dan coaches! So it always makes things more comfy when you have common ground with the groom! Well the day ended up being beautiful, a bit windy, but beautiful. I'd rather it be windy than RAINY! So anyways, congratulations to you both. It was a pleasure shooting your wedding, and I know Coty had a blast with you guys as well! We love you guys!

Congrats on the bun in the oven as well :) Can't wait to see the little one! Another addition to the Penzone baby club!

I actually got my hands dirty!!

Many of you don't know this but I am notorious for not getting my hands dirty. After a manicure at the salon, I wash my hands because I hate all the lotion on them. Coty hands the fact that I won't hand wash dishes because the feeling of the mucky water grosses me out! Well after knowing that, I actually bought some flowers and PLANTED them! Our house actually looks quite homey now! Its amazing with a couple flowers will do! I've posted a couple pictures of our home, which some of you have already been to. Anyways, Happy Memorial Day to you all! I'm editing my little fingers off today!

Wednesday, May 21, 2008

As I'm getting ready for work this is what I come out to see my dog has done... I just love her! I had to share! Hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend! Coty's mom, sister & niece will be coming here to visit so I'll be posting pictures from the zoo for sure! Love you all!

CRAZY!

Coty & I have been running ourselves ragged! I first have to say that I've been hating the weather like none other. We've had to reschedule a couple engagement shoots just because of it, so its not my best friend right now! Anywho, I did a baby shoot a WHILE ago for a very good friend of ours, Mark, Kristin & Malachi Artrip. I met Mark first, funny story actually. He was playing a quick game of basketball at the gym at Grace College, and I think my friend Chris Ogden asked me if I played and I told him I did in high school. I don't know what it was but it was as if God gave me the magic touch for 20 minutes and every 3-pointer I threw up I made it and I remember Mark thinking, you've got to be kidding me! I don't think they had expected me to play as well as I did... but neither did I! Thats when I first met Mark. I later went to his wedding where he married his best friend Kristin Artrip who has red hair as well. And they both ended up at my church in Powell, where Mark is the Youth Group Leader. Here's his blog that I love to check out once in a while... http://markartrip.wordpress.com/

Later I'll be putting up a wedding and engagement shoot. But first I have to finish editing them, then clean my house, and get some groceries before my mother-in-law comes next weekend!

Tatum & Elle

Yesterday I have the amazing oppurtunity to shoot a couple girls from work with their cute little bellies! Tatum (Tara) is due, well next week hopefully! I think she'd like to have it now but we'll see! Elle (Lauren) is due the first day of summer in June! Elle does nails with me and Tatum is an esthetician and we call work at Penzones. We all have our fake names, mine is Andi there, so its fun to be a different person everyday I go to work. Anyways, both of these girls I admire tremendously because they're both single and doing so great! I don't know Tatum as well as I do Elle but they both are so strong and so excited about their little ones. Tatum is having a girl and Elle is having a boy. So of course I had to ask if they're going to date later one and they both said of course. They're going to have the most darling little babies. And of course you'll see them on the web in the next couple months!!

Julie & Dan

Tonight Coty & I both got to shoot Julie & Dan's engagement pictures. Since we were both home that night I thought it'd be fun for us to both go. We had a lot of fun, and their dog couldn't be more adorable. Julie and I both work at the Charles Penzone Salon together, so we've gotten to know each other a little bit over the year and half that I've been there. When I first told her I did wedding photography, she told me "I'll keep you in mind if he every pops the question" and sure enough a couple months later he did! Dan is a teacher at Licking Heights and coaches football at Johnstown Monroe High School. They are getting married this weekend at the Jefferson Country Club, and I can already tell she's getting antsy! I'll be doing her pedicure this friday, and from the looks of her toes at the engagement shoot, she needs it!! :)

On a different note, we've added some new photos to the galleries! I did a baby shoot with my good friends son Malachi Joseph Artrip! I can't wait to get them all 3 in the picture, because they're all red heads, its adorable! So be sure to check out the Portraits Gallery! Hope everyone has a wonderful week.... we're loaded up with client meetings, maternity shoots and a wedding! Too many pregnant girls at the salon isn't such a bad thing!

Coty & I had the pleasure of getting to do my old roomate from Word of life's wedding! Jennifer & I were joint at the hip for a while, taking hundreds of pictures every weekend and having a blast in our dorm room. Her twin sister hung out with us too, so it was great to see both of them. After Word of Life I went to Grace College and they both went to Lancaster Bible College. Jen is now a social worker and her husband Shawn owns his own landscaping business, and he's very successful! It was more than an honor to take part in her day and it was well worth the drive! We promised eachother we wouldn't go 4 years without seeing eachother again! Enjoy the video!

The Boys

Yesterday was a busy day for us! Coty & I both worked in the morning, but from the moment we got off work we went back to work at home! I met up with 8 boys for a little photo shoot at the high school track & soccer field. Brought back some fond memories of my running days. They are planning a graduation party together next month and one of their mom's hired me to take the picture. I understood why they didn't want to take it themselves once I got them all together... worse than groomsmen!! "Are we done yet?" was the quote of the day for Jordan Snyder, whom I've known since he was in elementary school! Once I got all their names I didn't recognize them because they were all grown up. I felt a little old at that moment! Anyways, they were a load of fun.

Finally Blogging!

Hello all!! We are finally blogging!! We had our first wedding of the year in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on April 5th. Jen & Shawn's wedding was a great kick off to the year. Jen & I were roommates at Word of Life Bible Institute for a semester, and since we hadn't seen each other in years, it was a privilege to be a part of her wedding. They were such a sweet couple, and their friends and family were amazing as well. I'll get some pictures posted as soon as I can, life just seems a bit busy right now. I am still working at the Charles Penzone Grand Salon at Polaris, where I do nails, so along with client meetings, editing pictures, engagement sessions coming up... the fun is just beginning. Coty & I feel like we're not doing the normal newlywed thing, that most couples are not starting a new business while keeping our other full time jobs. At least we're having fun while doing it all right?! Anyways, I've got some maternity, engagement, and senior shoots coming up so I'll try and keep them up to date.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week. Looks like the weather is looking up... finally!
