Marci & Doug

Coty & I met Marci & Doug at Starbucks in German Village, I had unfortunately told her it would be my first time there. I couldn't be more out of it living in Columbus. Anyways, I fell in love with German Village the moment I got off the high way. Don't get me wrong, I'll always be more of a country girl but it was pretty cute down there! So we decided that we'd go into the bookshop for some different kinda pictures. I think it was called a The Book Loft, and Marci hit it right on the nose, I felt like I was in a schizophrenics head. Everytime I turned around I was in another level. Then I started to head out towards a door, and Marci was like "if you're trying to leave thats not the way" I was almost dizzy! It was fun to be in there though, we got some awesome pictures in there. It wasn't your typical stroll through the park, which we did after the bookstore! Anywho, We can't wait for their wedding on August 1st! Their wedding will kick off our seriously busy month!

I hope this made up for not having pictures for 3 years!!!

Julie & Dan

Two posts in one day!

So while everyone is out boating, and enjoying their memorial day break, I was inside finishing up a wedding and starting on my latest engagement session. Marci & Doug, you are next, I promise! Anyways, Julie and I met a while back at the salon that I work at. She is a massage therapist so I'd bump into her in between appointments, and before she got engaged she'd remind me that we'd have to get together and talk weddings when Dan would finally pop the question. Penzones might be a big salon, but when one of us is sporting some new bling, it never goes unnoticed! Julie is the first girl at the salon for me to photograph, so it was so much fun seeing people I work with at the wedding. When I finally met Dan, we found out that we new mutual people. I went to Worthington Christian and we used to be in the Mid Buckeye Conference, and we would play Johnstown all the time, and that happens to be where Dan coaches! So it always makes things more comfy when you have common ground with the groom! Well the day ended up being beautiful, a bit windy, but beautiful. I'd rather it be windy than RAINY! So anyways, congratulations to you both. It was a pleasure shooting your wedding, and I know Coty had a blast with you guys as well! We love you guys!

Congrats on the bun in the oven as well :) Can't wait to see the little one! Another addition to the Penzone baby club!

I actually got my hands dirty!!

Many of you don't know this but I am notorious for not getting my hands dirty. After a manicure at the salon, I wash my hands because I hate all the lotion on them. Coty hands the fact that I won't hand wash dishes because the feeling of the mucky water grosses me out! Well after knowing that, I actually bought some flowers and PLANTED them! Our house actually looks quite homey now! Its amazing with a couple flowers will do! I've posted a couple pictures of our home, which some of you have already been to. Anyways, Happy Memorial Day to you all! I'm editing my little fingers off today!

CRAZY!

Coty & I have been running ourselves ragged! I first have to say that I've been hating the weather like none other. We've had to reschedule a couple engagement shoots just because of it, so its not my best friend right now! Anywho, I did a baby shoot a WHILE ago for a very good friend of ours, Mark, Kristin & Malachi Artrip. I met Mark first, funny story actually. He was playing a quick game of basketball at the gym at Grace College, and I think my friend Chris Ogden asked me if I played and I told him I did in high school. I don't know what it was but it was as if God gave me the magic touch for 20 minutes and every 3-pointer I threw up I made it and I remember Mark thinking, you've got to be kidding me! I don't think they had expected me to play as well as I did... but neither did I! Thats when I first met Mark. I later went to his wedding where he married his best friend Kristin Artrip who has red hair as well. And they both ended up at my church in Powell, where Mark is the Youth Group Leader. Here's his blog that I love to check out once in a while... http://markartrip.wordpress.com/

Later I'll be putting up a wedding and engagement shoot. But first I have to finish editing them, then clean my house, and get some groceries before my mother-in-law comes next weekend!
